Man rushed to hospital after suffering 'serious head injuries' in Dundee

A man has been rushed to hospital after he was found with serious head injuries in Dundee city centre this morning. The 45-year-old was discovered by a member of the public on a path between West Marketgait and Yeaman Shore.He was taken to Ninewells Hospital by the Scottish Ambulance Service where his condition is described as "serious but stable".

Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances but officers are searching for a man they believe can assist with their investigation.

He is described as aged in his mid-40s and of average build. He may have been wearing a blue Scotland football shirt, jeans and trainers.Detective Sergeant Craig Kelly, said: “We need to establish what happened to this man and I am asking anyone who was in the area and saw anything to get in touch.“We believe the man described can help so I am asking him to call us."In addition, anyone who was driving in the area and has dash-cam that could help should also get in touch along with anyone with private CCTV.“If you can help please contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 0831 of Thursday, 2 June, 2022.” Don't miss the latest news from around Scotland and beyond - Sign up to our daily newsletter here.
