It was recently revealed that The King will no longer keep a permanent base in Wales as he is not able to spend as much time there since passing the Prince of Wales title on to Prince William.
His Majesty bought Llwynywermod in 2007 via the Duchy of Cornwall, paying £1.2 million for the farmhouse near Llandovery in Carmarthenshire.

This method, former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond feels, is a step in the right direction and showcases Prince William as a "forward thinking and progressive future King." During the Prince and Princess of Wales' most recent visit to the country shortly before the Coronation, it was revealed that the couple had opted to stay in a local community run Bed and Breakfast and had eschewed the idea of keeping a permanent base there.
