Will Mellor 'humiliated' by wife when he stripped off on stage for new series

Actors Will Mellor and Ralf Little have been mates for two decades, but a lot has changed since the pair first starred in Two Pints Of Lager & A Packet Of Crisps in 2001.

Now navigating their forties, they’re determined to find out how to make the most of midlife in their new show, Will & Ralf Should Know Better. “Me and Ralf have known each other a long time, but I probably know more about him now from the month we spent filming this series than I have [found out] over 25 years!” laughs Will, 48, who is married to wife Michelle. “We’re men and men don’t talk, but when you’re sitting in a car together you have the fun and banter, then stuff comes up you probably never normally talk about, which is something we wanted to capture as well.” In the four-part series, they tackle various challenges, from testing their physical strength to visiting an eco-village, having a go on a muddy assault course, fire walking and even stripping off on-stage with the Dreamboys. “We actually loved the Dreamboys challenge.

Neither of us were nervous about being naked,” says Ralf, 44. “The only thing we were worried about was getting the dance routine right – that tells you a lot about me and Will!

When we came off stage we wanted to do it again.” But Will did have one element of concern. “I invited the wife along to watch us, which was not only humiliating but one of the biggest mistakes I’ve ever made!” he laughs.The duo hope to inspire midlifers to try new things, and on a recent trip to Greece, Will decided to lead by example.
