Celtic could have a vested interest in the Asian Cup final with Japan and South Korea landing in separate sides of the tournament tree. And it means all four of their stars at the tournament - Reo Hatate, Daizen Maeda, Oh and Yang - could be away until February 10.
South Korea were held by Malaysia in one of the games of the tournament, Son Heung-min's late penalty cancelled out by an even later Romel Morales goal in Qatar.
94 minutes were on the clock when Son made it 3-2 but Malaysia equalised FIFTEEN minutes into added time to claim their first point of the tournament.South Korea still advance but dropping points in their final game means they only go through as runners up in Group E.
Had they won the group, they would have been on a last 16 collision course with Japan on January 30. And that would have meant at least two of Celtic's four - either Maeda and Hatate OR Yang and Oh - would have returned to Glasgow for the start of February.
