For Corrie fans may have been surprised to learn what the cast members were really having to endure in tonight's chilli-eating contest scenes - and it wasn't anything to do with spice.
Monday night's episode featured Gemma's chilli-eating contest, which saw her organise the event to raise money for Paul, who has motor neurone disease.
Dev, Chesney and Shona took part in the competition, with Shona winning. And while the popular cast members did put on a hilariously impressive performance by appearing as if their mouths were on fire.
Twitter fans were soon informed exactly how they managed to eat so many of the fiery peppers. The 'chillies' were actually made completely out of sugar.
