Businesses have spoken of their frustration after a burst water main burst left a high street flooded. Locals say water began gushing down the centre of Denton in Tameside at around 7am this morning.
The source of the leak appears to be outside Cafe Plus on Stockport Road at the Crown Point junction. It has seen a stream of water running down Manchester Road, which contains a number of different businesses, for a number of hours now.

Repairs are underway, United Utilities said. Hakan Denir, co-owner at Cafe Plus said: “I got here at 8.30am all of our fridges, stock, and more are flooded and ruined.
