Police ahave launched an urgent appeal to trace a pensioner who has vanished from a village in the Scottish Borders. James 'Jim' Cockburn was last seen at 9.30am on Thursday, June 29, in the Town Yetholm area, near to Kelso.

Police said there are "growing concerns" for James' wellbeing. He is described as 6ft tall, of muscular build with broad shoulders.

He has grey, thinning hair and is clean shaven. Anyone who may have seen James, or who has any information on his whereabouts, should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 3837 of June 29, 2023.
