Two men charged with attempted murder weeks after 'assault' in Highland town

Two men have been charged with attempted murder after an alleged "serious assault" of a man in Fort William over two months ago.The 26-year-old was said to have been attacked at around 2.20am on Young Place in the Highland town's Plantation area on Thursday October 13.Emergency services attended the scene and the 26-year-old was rushed to hospital for treatment.

At the time, medical staff described his condition as "serious".The two men, aged 41 and 20, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
