Two Doors Down series seven confirmed with hit Scots comedy moving to BBC One

Two Doors Down fans have been left buzzing after it was confirmed on Tuesday that the much-loved Scots sitcom would be returning for a seventh series later this year.

The show will also have a new home as it transfers form BBC Two to BBC One Scotland and television bosses say that production will get underway this summer.In November last year, the comedy, which is filmed in Dumbarton, returned to our screen for a sixth instalment and saw Siobhan Redmond brought in as Anne-Marie, Colin’s new love interest after Doon Mackichan, who played Cathy, quit.The most recent Christmas special attracted its highest audience to date with 2.8 million viewing the special across 30 days on all screens.
