Toyosi Olusanya knows Euro-seeking St Mirren could take a major step closer to sealing a second, consecutive season in the top six if they can add to Aberdeen’s anguish. The Buddies came back to rescue a late point at Ross County to make it four points out of six after last weekend’s win over St Johnstone.
Olusanya reckons if they could beat the chasing Dons at home then it would leave the fifth-placed St Mirren well positioned for the top six and a European push.Olusanya said: “We are looking to widen the gap on the teams below us but at the same time we are always looking up at the table, looking if we can push, solidify our place and push for Europe.
We should be worrying about what is in front of us and not behind us, if I am being honest. Credit to the gaffer and the squad. “We have shown we can be a top six side. “We will keep pushing.
We have aspirations for Europe and that shows the quality in this squad.“We will end up having three games in a week. We have done it in the past where we have taken seven points from nine and hopefully we can do that again.
