New hosts of This Morning, Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard, who made their debut on the show on Monday 11 March, were left shocked by their latest guest who was a victim of a conspiracy theory in 2015.The guest who chose to sit with her back to her camera, so as to not be identified, recounted the traumatic events which occurred almost a decade ago in Hampstead.

A documentary about the ordeal - Accused: The Hampstead Paedophile Hoax - aired on Channel 4 on Channel 4. During the episode on Thursday, as the woman spoke to Ben and Cat about her ordeal, the presenting duo couldn’t hide their shock.

Cat said she and Ben had watched the documentary and “talked and talked about it, it’s almost unbelievable.” The accused mum who was going by the fake name of ‘Anna’ recalled that back in February 2015 she and her husband received an email from her daughter's school “stating there had been allegations” that had been investigated and closed by the police. ‘Anna’ then looked up the incident online and she said: “I found three videos that existed online, unfortunately that video was of the daughter in question naming my daughter as being sexually abused for sweets.” 'Anna' continued: “The woman interviewing her in the video said ‘and who is it that’s doing this to her?’ and then she named myself and my husband.” Cat and Ben couldn’t believe what ‘Anna’ was saying and shook their heads in disbelief.

Ben added: “There is a huge difference from an email coming from school saying ‘there’s been an accusation, police investigated, it’s nothing’ to then suddenly seeing what those allegations were." He continued: “I can’t imagine how you felt watching this child that you knew who was in your daughter's class firstly saying what they were saying.
