Snuggling into clean bedding is a great feeling, especially as the colder weather creeps in. But you may be getting into a bed filled with bacteria and even dust mites if you make some common mistakes, according to experts at Online-Bedrooms.co.uk.

The experts have highlighted the importance of airing out your bed, leaving at least half an hour between getting out of bed and making it.

Dust mites are tiny insects that feed on dead skin cells.
