Here's the Mancunian Way for today: Over the last few days, scenes of utter chaos have unfolded in Manchester city centre.
On Friday, a large group of schoolchildren and college students caused 'mayhem' on the last day of term. Police and passers-by were pelted with eggs, trams were forced to stop running and some businesses had to close early.
Riot police were called in to enforce a dispersal order and three arrests were made. Footage later emerged of a fight on the platform of the Market Street Metrolink stop.
Then on Monday night, a number of fights broke out across both St Peter’s Square and Piccadilly Gardens after a birthday party was shut down at Rebellion on Deansgate when a knife was thrown over a fence.
