Remember Marky Mark? If you’re under a certain age, probably not, and Mark Wahlberg has some fun with that notion in the new trailer for the upcoming Apple TV+ action-comedy The Family Plan.

In the film, Wahlberg plays a nice-guy suburban husband and father whose kids have no idea that he used to be a government assassin.

The situation provides ample opportunity for lots of jokes about how incredulous the children are regarding their uncool dad’s formerly cool persona.

And if that’s not enough of a wink to viewers, Wahlberg actually does some rapping in the comedy. Watch the trailer above to see how director Simon Cellan Jones and writer David Coggeshall work that into the story.
