The crumbling corner of Stockport that's going to be turned into a little Buenos Aires
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA part of Stockport’s forgotten backwaters will be transformed into a colourful and vibrant haven thanks to a group of prestigious artists from Argentina.
Five artists from the La Boca neighbourhood in Buenos Aires will travel to Stockport where they will work from a blank canvas to create a unique, colourful space.
The La Boca to La Stocka project, which has been described as the ‘most exciting artistic event’ to take part in the borough, comes from John and Sophie Macaulay, the husband-and-wife team behind GRIT Studios and Art Battle Manchester. The artists travelling from La Boca will be Eva Luna Maissa, Patrica Salatino, Melina Lluvia, Omar Gasparini and Alejandro Fenochio.
