The UK could soon see the warm weather return as weather maps have predicted a mini heatwave to hit the country.Following weeks of rain, wind and dreary weather, Britain could be hit by an Iberian plume of heat, bringing temperatures of 26C, reports the Mirror.Weather maps from the website WXCharts have shown a section of heat aiming towards the UK from the beginning of next month.This news comes as temperatures across the country this summer didn't peak past 40C like they did in 2022, despite the mercury in June 2023 being the hottest ever to be recorded.However, across other countries in Europe, places like Italy, Greece and Spain saw a deadly heatwave hit with temperatures catapulting towards 50C.These WXChart maps show that between September 2 and 6, the UK could see a mini heatwave last for at least five days - with the southern parts of the country enjoying hotter weather than places like Barcelona.However, the Met Office's verdict doesn't seem hopeful about hot weather in the UK in the coming weeks.
For this period of time in Edinburgh, the highest temperature is 19C, with clouds covering the skies. Glasgow will have some sun peaking through, but the average temperature is set to be 19C with a five per cent chance of rain.Their long range forecast says that high pressure is likely to build next weekend which could, however, bring some drier and sunnier weather.The Met Office said: "Temperatures are likely to be near average, although increasing slightly in sunnier spells, compared to previous days. "Further ahead, although uncertainty increases, generally changeable conditions may resume, with northern and western areas most prone to this, while southern and eastern areas are more favoured to hold onto some drier,
