Stargazing enthusiasts can head to the Forest of Bowland next month as the beauty spot hosts its Annual Dark Skies Festival.
During the week-long programme of events there will be observatory open evenings, smartphone night sky photography workshops and even a food tour.
Covering a vast expanse of countryside in the North West, the Forest of Bowland is far removed from sources of light pollution making it ideal for stargazing and taking in the night sky.
The Dark Skies Festival kicks off this year on Saturday February 10, and includes events suitable for people of all ages, from kid-friendly activities to an indulgent food tour.
