Teen charged after alleged rape of girl, 16, in Scots flat

A teenage boy has been arrested and charged with the alleged rape of a 16-year-old girl. The youngster was detained following a police probe into an alleged sexual assault in a park.Officers investigated claims the youngster had been abused at Agnew Park, in Stranraer.

But following the enquiry officers now believe the alleged incident took place in a flat. The force said that the inquiry revealed the alleged incident actually took place at a property in the east end of the Dumfries and Galloway town.Details of the youth's arrest were shared on the Police Scotland Dumfries and Galloway Facebook page.
