A 19-year-old accused of stabbing a student to death in Fallowfield became 'angry' after a 'silly and annoying' skateboarding joke stemming from a YouTube trend, a murder trial has heard.

Shiloh Pottinger is accused of the murder of student Luke O'Connor, 19, on October 26 last year. Prosecutors allege Mr Pottinger reacted 'violently and unpredictably' to a comment made by Luke's friend Charlie Robertson asking Mr Pottinger to perform a 'kick flick' on his skateboard.

Mr Pottinger has previously pleaded guilty to posession of a bladed article, but denies murder. Jurors previously heard that Luke was treated at the scene on Wilmslow road for eight substantive stab wounds.

He was rushed to the Manchester Royal Infirmary (MRI), where he was sadly pronounced dead after going into cardiac arrest.
