Taylor Swift resurrected a very old song during the most recent performance on her Eras Tour, and the lyrics have taken on a very special meaning amid her romance with Travis Kelce.
On Saturday (July 6), the 34-year-old pop titan took the stage for the final of three performances at the Johan Cruyff Arena in Amsterdam.
As a special surprise, she dusted off Mary’s Song (Oh My My My) and mashed it up with “So High School” and “Everything Has Changed.” Swifties were excited to hear the song, but they also dove into the lyrics and realized that they contained a reference to Travis, who was cheering his girlfriend on in the audience. Keep reading to find out more… The closing lyrics to the song find Taylor singing “I’ll be 87, you’ll be 89 / I’ll still look at you like the stars that shine / in the sky, oh, my, my, my.” Fans of Travis‘ football career will remember that his jersey number is 87.
Additionally, both he and Taylor were born in 1989. Check out a video of Taylor‘s mashup. According to People, this is the first time Taylor‘s performed the song, which is from her self-titled debut album, live since 2008!
