Tales of life in the trenches at Dumfriesshire Museum

The Time Bandits living history re-enactors spent the day at Dumfriesshire's The Devil’s Porridge Museum, in Eastriggs, sharing their knowledge and enthusiasm with visitors of all agesThere was object handling of amazing WW1 artefacts in the community-run museum and visitors got to hear tales of life in the trenches as WW1 soldiers wandered the museum galleries.

Capt Crowley, Sgt Hall and Sgt Moffatt had a “fantastic time” according to The Time Bandits who also said: “Despite the wretched weather we were kept busy all day with a constant stream of visitors – probably the busiest we’ve seen it and quite rightly. “ It’s a great museum and the staff are awesome.”
