Susan Rice, who left her post as domestic policy advisor to President Biden last May, has rejoined Netflix’s board of directors.
In two-plus years in the Biden Administration, Rice oversaw a number of complex and controversial initiatives related to immigration, gun control and student loan relief.
She had previously served as President Barack Obama’s national security adviser and U.N. ambassador. Netflix announced that Rice was leaving Netflix’s board in January 2021 after having been appointed in 2018.
The streaming giant disclosed her return Friday in an SEC filing, saying she will get an annual retainer of $300,000, which will be paid monthly and prorated for the duration of 2023.
