Strictly's Amy Dowden flooded with support after devastating news

She underwent a mastectomy to remove a tumour found by doctors and was due to undergo radiotherapy. She believed after getting treatment that she would be able to return to Strictly as one of the professionals.
However received further bad news when doctors told her they had found more tumours and another type of cancer after an MRI.
During a chat with Paralympic gold medalist and breast cancer survivor Erin Kennedy for the charity CoppaFeel!, Amy explained her “journey had changed” since being diagnosed.This meant she wouldn’t be able to compete with a celebrity contestant in the next Strictly series.
