The Strictly Come Dancing professionals and judges are set to perform a dramatic "avant-garde gothic tango" on the first results show of the 2024 series.The routine will be set to a medley of Prince's When Doves Cry and New Order's Blue Monday, and will air just before the first elimination of the series is announced.
Craig Revel Horwood, the show's longest-serving judge, will make a statement in a blonde wig, sitting on a golden throne. Fellow judge Anton Du Beke will wear a bold purple jacket with a gold waistcoat and white shirt, while Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse will don all-black outfits for the performance.
The professional dancers will surround the throne, dressed in striking white and black outfits, as the judges engage in a dramatic battle.The first results show of Strictly's 20th anniversary series will air on Sunday, September 29 at 7:15pm on BBC One and iPlayer, with the next live show scheduled for Saturday, September 28 at 6:15pm.
In other news, celebrity contestant Nick Knowles has confirmed that he will be able to perform on Saturday's live show, despite an earlier injury that had put his participation in doubt.
