Following her retirement from cycling, it looks like Laura Kenny could be taking to the dancefloor as the 'ultimate signing' with a source claiming that producers believe the nation would 'love' her.
A source told The Mirror: "Laura is Britain's most successful female Olympian, with five gold medals. She's been branded the ultimate signing for Strictly. "She has a huge fanbase in the sports and also has a very emotional backstory – the nation loves Laura," they continued.
OK! have contacted both the BBC and Laura's reps for comment. The 31 year old Olympic athlete made sporting history after winning an impressive two gold medals at London 2012, a further two more at Rio 2016 and a fifth one in Tokyo in 2021.
