HOLLYOAKS actress Stephanie Davis has been left devastated following the passing of her grandmother. The star, famed for her role as Sinead O'Connor in the Channel 4 soap, broke the heartbreaking news in a lengthy Instagram post.

In a number of fitting tribute posts to her, Stephanie shared an image of her and her grandmother holding hands whilst she was in hospital and quickly followed it up with footage of her in a hospital bed.

In the clip, Stephanie and her mum could be seen singing sweetly to her as she revealed she had spent '12 long days and nights in hospital and she smiled through it all'.

Stephanie was left in 'shock' at the passing of her 'Nanna Mary' and accompanied her main tribute post with two videos of happy times she spent with her.
