Many retirees relying on state pension to get by are scrapping their pennies together after the Winter Fuel Payment restrictions were put through by a ministerial vote earlier this week, which will see millions missing out on the £300 seasonal payment for the first time this year.

However, countless pensioners could also be unknowingly missing out on hundreds in unclaimed benefits and other discounts due to their age.
