South Ayrshire school pupils to return to class on 'two or three group rotation' system

Pupils will return to South Ayrshire schools in "group rotation systems," it has been confirmed.The region's education boss, Douglas Hutchison, today said that the majority of primary classrooms will run on a "two group" rota.But 12 primaries - as yet unnamed - may have to operate a three group system due to limitations on space.South Ayrshire's education chief confirmed the plans in a letter addressed to parents outlining the potential return to schools.He said the "preferred rotation" was two groups, which was an option supported by 66 per cent of parents who completed a recent survey."At present we are able to confirm that 30 of our primary schools and all four of our stand alone early years centres are able to accommodate a two group.
