SINGER Rex Orange County has been cleared of sex assault claims after all charges were dropped against him. The musician, real name Alexander O'Connor, was accused of targeting a woman in a taxi and at his London home.

He was due to stand trial on January 3 after denying six counts of sexual assault. O'Connor, 24, has now been cleared after the Crown Prosecution Service found there was not enough evidence to pursue the case.

The singer posted about the development in a lengthy statement today. He said: "I have always denied these allegations and am grateful that the independent evidence has cleared me of wrongdoing.
