Erik ten Hag is yet to hold talks with INEOS figures despite the presence of officials at Old Trafford and Carrington in recent weeks.
Sir Dave Brailsford, director of sport at INEOS, has visited Carrington and Old Trafford for meetings ahead of Sir Jim Ratcliffe's acquisition of a 25% stake in the club.
Jean-Claude Blanc, who is in the frame to replace Richard Arnold as chief executive, has also attended talks at Old Trafford.
Formal confirmation of the investment is yet to be confirmed but INEOS chiefs have held talks with interim chief executive Patrick Stewart and football director John Murtough, although they have not spoken to Ten Hag.
