Sex offender found with genitalia cut off dies in abandoned industrial estate

A known sex offender bled to death after his genitalia was cut off in a disused industrial estate, an inquest has heard. Reginald Alan Roach was discovered by a dog walker on Sunday (November 6) in Bangor, NorthWalesLive reports.

The 63-year-old was found 'unresponsive' and had significant 'wounds' to his genitalia, a hearing in Caernarfon was told yesterday (November 11).

Kate Sutherland, acting senior coroner for North Wales gave a provisional cause of death as "shock and haemorrhage due to incised wounds removing genitalia," following a post-mortem report by Dr Brian Rodgers.

The inquest was adjourned to a later date while further investigations are conducted. Roughly a week before his death, Roach, of Bangor, appeared at Llandudno Magistrates Court on October 31.
