Selling Sunset newcomer Amanda Lynn has finally addressed the controversy surrounding her past tweets that were racially offensive. The 35 year old realtor, who is set to make her debut in the eighth season of Netflix's glamorous reality series, found herself embroiled in a racism scandal before the new episodes aired. The newbie was accused of posting discriminatory remarks on Twitter - now known as X - with the old posts being circulated on TikTok.
A video clip exposed that Amanda had retweeted comments containing racial slurs, reports the Mirror. However, the property agent has now spoken out, labelling these tweets as a "brief lapse in judgment" and expressing her "regret" over the posts.Through a spokesperson, the star also vehemently denied being racist.
Her representative told the DailyMail: "The tweets in question, made over a decade ago, were a brief lapse in judgment and do not reflect Amanda Lynn's beliefs or values.
She regrets the mistake, has learned from it, and is not racist." Amanda joined Selling Sunset as a friend of Bre Tiesi and initially made headlines with claims that Chelsea Lazkani's husband, Jeff Lazkani, had been spotted kissing a younger woman in a hotel lobby.
