Parts of Scotland are facing freezing cold temperatures, icy pavements and snow today, as last week's cold snap shows no signs of slowing down.The UK has experienced its coldest night of the year so far, with temperatures in Scotland dipping well below freezing.

Braemar in Aberdeenshire recorded -15.7C overnight, the Met Office said.The forecaster had issued a string of warnings for snow and ice for many parts of the country, warning people of significant delays whilst travelling and dangerous walking conditions.For people needing to go to work or visit family members, this severe weather really isn't ideal - so here's all the information we know so far about when the bad weather is likely to end.

Currently, there are two weather warnings still in place for this day. The first one is a warning for snow and ice, covering Shetland Islands.

It's in place until midnight tonight - a time that was brought forward as the bad weather is likely to clear quicker. The second is another snow and ice warning, but covering a larger amount of areas.
