Rutherglen Glencairn boss Joe Pryce is delighted that his side have played their way into a West of Scotland First Division promotion slot – but says there’s a lot of work to do.Glencairn host 10th-placed St Roch’s on Saturday, knowing that a win could take them second on goal difference.But in an incredibly tight league, which features teams with several games in hand over each other, places can change easily.Glencairn are two points behind second-placed Petershill, who have played one game more, and are one ahead of Kilwinning Rangers, who have also played an extra fixture.They’re four points behind leaders Drumchapel United, who have two games in hand on them, but Ashfield, Blantyre Vics, Shotts and Johnstone Burgh can all overtake them, should they win all of their games.St Roch’s have an outside chance of pipping Glencairn to promotion, sitting six points behind with three fewer games played.Pryce says Glens have done all that they can, and will see where it leaves them.He said: “We’re delighted to be sitting in the promotion spot with four games to go, but all we’ve really done is give ourselves a chance, with the results we’ve had.“That was all we wanted.“There are teams behind us and we know if they get their maximum points they can go above us.“There are quite a number of teams – Johnstone Burgh, Ashfield, Shotts – but we’ve just got to do our bit, that’s all we can do.“There’s no point in saying ‘if we had won this game or that game, this might have happened’, we’ve just got to concentrate on ourselves.“I would much rather have the points in the bag than say I’ve got three or four games in hand.”Pryce said: “We’re sitting in a good position at the moment and it’s up to us to make sure we stay there.“On Saturday
