Row of shops cordoned off after teen stabbed in the back

A row of shops has been cordoned off after a teenager was stabbed in the back.Police raced to Great Homer Street in Vauxhall, Liverpool, after the alarm was raised at around 6.15pm on Thursday.

Upon arrival officers found a 16-year-old who had been stabbed in the forearm, stomach and back.As reported by the Echo, the teen was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

There were at least six police vehicles at the scene including a van, forensics van and multiple patrol cars.A cordon was quickly erected covering the pavement in front of Barnardo's, Greggs, a chemist and a charity shop.

Forensic officers were at the scene along with detectives, who were seen leaving Greggs shortly before the police cordon was dropped.A police probe is ongoing and officers will remain in the area to carry out forensic, CCTV, and witness enquiries.
