'Riverdale' Producer Reveals Why KJ Apa & Cole Sprouse Didn't Kiss on the Show (Spoilers!)

In the season finale, Archie (Apa), Jughead (Sprouse), Betty (Lili Reinhart) and Veronica (Camila Mendes) wound up briefly becoming a quad after multiple romantic pairings between the group.
All of them except for KJ and Cole shared romantic moments. Why? “I mean, that’s, like, too hot for TV,” Sarah told Variety, adding, “I don’t think there was a reason for it.” She continued, saying that she felt “there’s a fantastic, fantastic amount of LGBTQ representation on the show.” The quad got together but didn’t wind up staying together, and everyone involved split up.
