Rico Lewis has signed his 'dream' contract at Manchester City, where he will remain until 2028. Lewis, 18, had one year left on his current contract, but has now signed a four-year extension on improved terms after playing a significant role in City's treble-winning season in 2022/23.

After being taken on the pre-season tour last summer, Lewis impressed Pep Guardiola and was handed 23 appearances in his breakthrough campaign.

Guardiola credited Lewis with a season-changing contribution as the youngster led the way for John Stones, Kyle Walker and others to invert into midfield from full-back, which would prove to be the tactics that secured the Champions League for the Blues.

Now, with Lewis already looking to play an important role in his second senior season, the youngster has vowed to continue working hard to continue winning trophies for City.
