Elizabeth II (Elizabeth Alexandra Mary; born 21 April 1926) is Queen of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Elizabeth was born in London, the first child of the Duke and Duchess of York, later King George VI and Queen Elizabeth, and she was educated privately at home. Her father ascended the throne on the abdication of his brother King Edward VIII in 1936, from which time she was the heir presumptive. She began to undertake public duties during the Second World War, serving in the Auxiliary Territorial Service. In 1947, she married Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, a former prince of Greece and Denmark, with whom she has four children: Charles, Prince of Wales; Anne, Princess Royal; Prince Andrew, Duke of York; and Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex.

Princess Eugenie and husband Jack Brooksbank are expecting their second child in summer 2023 after announcing their pregnancy back in January.

Buckingham Palace congratulated the couple, who have recently moved into the vacated Frogmore Cottage, in a statement released on 24 January and shared that the pair’s first son, August, is “very much looking forward to being a big brother.” Eugenie, 33, also took to her personal Instagram to share the joyous news.The royal wrote under a sweet pic of son August cuddling her burgeoning belly: “We’re so excited to share that there will be a new addition to our family this summer.” Eugenie gave birth to first son August Philip Hawke Brooksbank on 9 February 2021 - just over two years after she married partner Jack, 36, in October 2018.

Although Eugenie’s exact due date is not known, Eugenie's mum Sarah Ferguson hinted that she is due "soon", between April 2023 and the summer.

It’s thought that she must have fallen pregnant sometime in the autumn of 2022.This has led royal watchers to speculate that the Princess must have fallen pregnant shortly before or after Queen Elizabeth II’s death on 8 September 2022.
