Transport Police will be patrolling train stations across the UK to tackle hate crime amid the ongoing conflict in Israel and the border with Gaza.
The high-visibility patrols will be taking place over the coming days across the network to 'protect communities' and respond to any hate crime incidents.
It comes after Home Secretary Suella Braverman wrote to police chiefs in England and Wales urging them to 'step up patrols and use all available powers' to prevent anti-Jewish disorder. Israel is pressing ahead with a fierce offensive of airstrikes in Gaza that has claimed 830 lives on the other side and caused widespread destruction.
