Police issue urgent appeal after man 'exposed himself' behind John Lewis
manchestereveningnews.co.ukPolice have issued an urgent appeal after a man 'exposed himself' to a woman behind John Lewis. The incident is believed to have taken place at around 5.15pm last Sunday, August 18, when the woman was walking towards the bus stop on Etchells Road in Cheadle, using a small ginnel behind the store.
As she walked, she noticed a man standing near the exit. As she approached, he exposed himself, before exiting the ginnel and making his way along Etchells Road towards Wilmslow Road, Greater Manchester Police have said. He was said to be wearing a light blue bomber jacket, a dark blue polo shirt with a maroon collar, jeans, trainers, and a backpack. "This was a distressing incident for our victim, and we continue to support her and ensure she is kept up to date with our investigation," a spokesperson for GMP said. "We are following several lines of enquiry, but we are urging members of the public who may have been in the area at the time, or who often pass Etchells Road on their commute, to please come forward and speak to us." The force said they are 'particularly keen' to speak to anyone who may have dash cam, ring doorbell, or mobile phone footage from the time leading up to and after the incident.
Police Sergeant Delaney from the Stockport division said: “We know reports of this nature may cause concern, but we do believe that this was an isolated incident.
