Police issue update on further arrests after gun shots blasted at chippy

Three men who were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after gun shots were blasted at a chippy in Oldham have been released on bail, police said.

Police descended on Minton Street at around 5.30pm last Thursday (April 25) after reports of a shooting. A window at the front of the Glodwick Chippy was smashed while another damaged windowpane was removed and left on display outside the premises.

Investigations were carried out and police revealed the damage was caused by a firearm. Thankfully no-one was injured. READ NEXT: Tragedy as man's body pulled from sea in Blackpool Last week, a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He has since been released on bail. Yesterday, Greater Manchester Police revealed three more men had been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
