Police in frantic search for missing Hamilton pensioner who 'may appear confused'

Police have launched an urgent search for a missing pensioner who they say "may appear confused". William Rutherford, 78, was last seen in Bothwell Road, Hamilton, between 11.30am and 1pm on Sunday, October 15.He is white, 5ft7in tall, of slim to medium build and is balding with grey hair.

He was wearing a navy jacket, dark blue trousers, black shoes and a grey flat cap.Inspector Michael Anderson, East Kilbride Police Station, said: "Mr Rutherford has not been missing before.
