Police focus on Oban as search for missing Dundonald woman Lisa Haining stretches to third day

Police have turned their attention to the costal town of Oban as the search for Ayrshire woman Lisa Haining stretches into a third day.The Dundonald woman vanished in the early hours of Friday morning and officers are now 'extremely concerned' for her welfare.Police say the 50-year-old has visited Oban a number of times and cops are now liaising with the local force in the north to see if the missing woman traveled the 120 miles to the the town.Lisa is described as being 5ft in height and of slim build with dyed blonde hair and darker roots.

When she was last seen she was wearing black leggings, an olive-green shirt, brown jacket and white trainers.Cops have also said that Lisa's disappearance has been incredibly upsetting for her family and they are desperate for her to return home.A bid to trace her car, a white Renault Twingo with the registration SJ65 JXP, is ongoing.Inspector Paul Richmond said: “Despite extensive enquiries, searches and previous appeals, we have yet to locate Lisa.

We are extremely concerned for her wellbeing and safety. “We are continuing to study CCTV from in and around the Dundonald area to gather more information on where she headed after she left the Castle View area in the early hours of Friday morning.

We are also working to locate her white Renault Twingo with the registration SJ65 JXP. “Officers have been checking areas she is known to visit and we know that she has visited the Oban area a number of times.
