EastEnders star Patsy Kensit has split from her property tycoon partner as she calls off their wedding.This would have been the fifth marriage for the 55-year-old actress, but she has called it off and decided to focus on work.

Patsy announced her engagement to 56-year-old Patric Cassidy on social media 10 months ago. Patric got down on one knee just weeks after the couple started dating.

However, a spokesperson for Patsy has confirmed to The Sun that the whirlwind romance is over.They have said: "I can confirm they have split, and would appreciate that she is given her privacy regarding the matter. An insider has also told the publication that they have split, but they still have a "lot of love" for each other.The insider has said: "The whirlwind romance has come to a halt, and the couple have decided to go their separate ways. "They have a lot of love for one another, but ultimately, she knew that they couldn’t make it work in the long-term, so she felt it was best not to move forward with their relationship." The insider also said that Patsy has a lot of "exciting" work opportunities coming up.Therefore she is throwing herself into her career, following the breakup.
