Sam Heughan hailed Caitriona Balfe an "honorary Scot" thanks to the time she's spent here filming for Outlander. The Scots actor never shies away from complementing his co-star and pal and their close friendship, which has grown over the 10 years they've been playing Jamie and Claire Fraser in the hit time-travelling historical drama, is well known to fans.

But this is the first time we think he's gone so far as to declare his Irish colleague as an honorary Scot, and Cait was left visibly delighted by the fond compliment.
