Health chiefs in Ayrshire are ramping up their Covid booster drive in a bid to ward off the new Omicron variant.People aged 30 and over can now go online to book their booster appointment.A website allows booking at a local clinic, which you can now get three months (12 weeks) after your second dose.It comes as cases of the new Omicron variant continue to increase across the county.People age 18 to 29 will be invited to book appointments soon.Lynne McNiven, public health director at NHS Ayrshire & Arran, said: "Our booster programme is well underway and we have delivered 158,119 booster or third COVID-19 vaccine doses locally already since the end of September."But we need to move even faster.“People in their 30s are eligible for booster
