Electors in the Fortissat and Mossend & Holytown council wards are being reminded to use their vote in the by-election on Thursday, October 10.

Poll cards, with information about where to vote, have been issued to eligible voters. Polling places are open between 7am and 10pm. “The council runs a wide range of local services, including schools, roads, parks, housing, and waste services, and elected members represent residents in their wards on issues affecting them, their families and communities,” said Returning Officer Des Murray. “It is important that everyone who is eligible uses their vote in the by-elections on 10 October to have a say in who represents the ward they live in.” The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
