Nicola Sturgeon says to wear face coverings 'now' as she reiterates guidance ahead of possible law change

Nicola Sturgeon has reiterated guidance on the use of face coverings in public after it was announced England is set to make them mandatory on public transport.

At today's Covid-19 briefing from Downing Street, Transport Secretary Grant Shapps said they will become a travel requirement as of June 15, with fines possible for those who do not comply.

Earlier the First Minister revealed that Scottish ministers are considering making face coverings mandatory when in an enclosed public space - such as a shop or on public transport.

The Scottish Government already recommends wearing  face coverings  in public in "limited circumstances" And following the English announcement, Sturgeon tweeted to reiterate her Government's guidance to wear face
