Queens boss Peter Murphy has confirmed his backroom staff for the new season and revealed a pre-season friendly with Morton.
He has recruited his previous assistant boss Colin McMenamin from Annan plus coaches Alan Casey and Jon Connolly. Former Queens striker McMenamin (pictured) makes a welcome return to Palmerston as Murphy’s number two.
During his 20 year playing career, he spent the 2010/11 season as a Doonhamer and, after a spell as team chief at Stenhousemuir, he was three years as assistant at Galabank.
Casey will be first team coach while former Motherwell goalie Connolly is new goalkeeper coach. Murphy said: “I am delighted to have Colin, Alan and Jon join us at the club. “We have worked closely over the past few years, so have a real understanding of each other’s methods and work well together.
