dailyrecord.co.ukA new charity aiming to help children suffering from various traumas is set to open premises in both North and South Lanarkshire.The Holding Space’s main aim is working with children and families who are experiencing trauma such as anxiety, depression, grief, suicide and much more.The charity is set to open in Uddingston and Condorrat with the aim to reach as many young people as possible.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.

Mhairi said: “We have developed a unique service that supports everyone within local communities that are struggling on all levels.“Our program aims to fill the gaps with support for our children, young people and families offering various services and holistic therapies.“Kids who are struggling mentally are having to wait until it reaches crisis point before they can get the help they need and often that is too late.“The CAHMS waiting list is huge so our aim is to try and help young people and their families before it reaches crisis point.“We are aiming to have our premises open in the near future.
